Two things to know about Italian actress Nadia Rinaldi, and while there is definitely those two that are worth knowing, that’s not the two to which Mr. Skin is referring. First off, she was busted in 1998 for possession of one kilo of cocaine, which authorities found in a shoebox in her closet. She claimed the box was given to her by a friend, and she had no idea what was in it, but she was sentenced to 20 months in prison. And the second thing is, that she had intestinal bypass surgery in 2001 and lost 90 kilos as a result (that’s about 198 pounds for those not currently on the metric system). The first thing is just interesting, but the second is important in the grand scheme of Skin Central, because in her role as Carlotta Altieri in Dario Argento’s horror version of The Phantom of the Opera (1998) starring Julian Sands, Nadia is a rather robust woman, with a robust bust to match. The deranged phantom (Sands) rips open her bodice to reveal a very juicy duo, then stupidly slashes one to mar its pretty perfection. (While the weight-loss dropped unwanted pounds, you’ll be happy to know Nadia is still a big-breasted woman, as evidenced by her Instagram account, where she’s now also a blonde.) Of course, Nadia is well-known for things other than her coke handling and bypass, having amassed more than 40 on-screen credits, not to mention a slew of theatre productions. One of her most popular roles was as Cornelia in the movie S.P.Q.R.: 2,000 and a Half Years Ago (1994), then as August Appio in the TV series S.P.Q.R. in 1998. Mr. Skin could look up what those letters stand for, but he prefers to make them up, maybe: Snow. Pounds. Quality. Rosebud.
